The following instructions show you how easy it is to make gluten free seeded mini bread rolls using our gluten free bread mix.
Gluten Free Seeded Mini-Bread Rolls – Ingredients
- Grassroots Bakery Gluten Free Bread Mix (280g) (Brown or white to taste)
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 250 ml tepid water (100ml boiling to 150ml cold)
- Poppy seeds (handful)
Follow all of these instructions exactly to get the best results. Place all of the Grassroots Bakery Gluten Free Bread Mix into a large mixing bowl and add the egg, olive oil and tepid water. Whisk (whisking is better than using dough hooks) until all the ingredients have formed a smooth batter with no lumps (Please note that with the white bread mix, you will still see some grains of quinoa flour and this is just fine and adds to the texture).
Cover the mixing bowl with cling film and leave in a warm place to prove for 40 minutes.
After proving, do not knock back. Scoop the bread mixture into a large piping bag and pipe a sphere of bread mixture that measures around 5cm diameter onto a baking sheet covered with baking paper (not greaseproof paper!)
When all the mini-rolls have been piped, sprinkle with poppy seeds and bake for between 40 and 50 minutes or until cooked through.
As with all good bread, resist and leave to cool thoroughly before enjoying.
